Ha, MS playing to publishers and Sony to unwashed masses, where is the news in that, exactly?
Plus Sony will be waiting to break even on production costs forever now.

Ah, Quake.
Seminal shooter by itself, with tension multiplied by Reznor`s soundscape. Imagine what he could do with Doom 3, holy shit.

Yawn.
This all could be condensed to “so-called next games are predominantly safebet mmo hybrids with token gay characters, sheeple on iPads servicing the fun and DLCs everywhere”.

I`d say Uncahrted was at it`s best when Drake kept his trap shut and fought generic evil guys with tanks.
Because whenever he opens said trap, he really comes off as a schizophrenic. Dude just fucking wasted ten men in cold blood(including one with a necksnap, and two in a fistfight) under my command and now he`s complaining about some bullshit to this whore-eyed broad? Really?

They were probably experiencing it after Cage`s previous title, Fahrenheit, which was so goddamn awful. And if one hasn`t seen real fine examples of nonlinear storytelling in games(read Blade Runner, The Last Express, later Infocom titles), perhaps Heavy Rain starts to look like something other than bad game that really wanted to be a bad movie for some reason.
Then one migh want to remember pompous Cage-talk how industry did not grow up according to his wishes and laugh together with me.

All dat layman boohoo only makes my Ballmer bigger.
Who exactly told you that MS is not on fixing this shit 24/7? Do you have a faintest idea about testing patches before commiting and how much time it can take if you run a proper OS with multitudes of possible configurations? Or would you rather have a patch that opens up new holes?

Yeah, that`s why it should be google-fed to lowest common denominator in hacking!
Wake up, there is a difference between giving MS time to fix stuff for OS that services up to 85% of world computers properly and just being a dick for the sake of it.

…that nobody cared about. Myth made much more of a splash, and deserved it.
What`s the word for such trailers, anyway? You can`t even call it pretentious, since there is very little of anything – just your generic shootan part, cliched robothingies, cliched menacing kingkong thing and voiceover with a very sketchy connection to what`s happening in video.
Then again, Halo was like that too.
