Even blogging is like this, in a way. There’s this push to be first, so people put out quick blurbs about the news, which quickly gets repeated ad nauseum around the internet. In some ways, what we miss out on is insightful analyses and broader implications for things, which I think is what people really want to know about. It’s still insightful, only less so.

Same argument can be said for things like Instagram, Paper, PicPlz, Skitch, etc. It’s hobby art, but are we quickly coming to a world where hobby art replaces “art art”?
