You said 2 plus 2 and I read it as 5. As someone who was unable to see a doctor for years and currently relies on “free” (actually sliding scale) clinics, it’s a subject I am touchy about. But you’re right, I misapprehended what you were saying.

OK, but there is also an enormous segment of people who are not “too dumb to go to a doctor” but rather “too poor to go to a doctor”. And the notion that their ailments – not to mention deaths – are “doing the species as a whole a giant favor” is bullshit.

Cuarón is a terrific director, and the trailer definitely looked good. Of course my inner science geek was screaming “it’s outer space! we can’t hear the explosions!” My inner science geek ruins a lot of movies that way.
