Never become a strategist please. Why would RIM provide a device without any of the functions it already has lying around for a final huzzah? What’s the point of lots of memory if the OS is stripped down? What would make the device different from all of their recent offerings?

Sat in one today at a demonstration. Comfortable, and even though the car wasnt on I got the sensation of lightness from it. Was quoted 480 km max range which these official statistics dont seem to support.

Whenever I see a flame war erupt about phones I laugh. A friend would sometimes ask me what my opinion on the topic of the flame war was, and I’d reply with, “I honestly have no opinion, but that doesn’t discount that all these people are idiots.”
For months I questioned myself on what made me feel that, even with no opinion, I was better than the majority of flame war participants. I could see some had valid opinions, but some quality still tainted their quite verbose deliberations.
This is it. I am confused no more. I could just not pinpoint that the action of emotional involvement in an industry of inanimate objects, where decisions have to be made based on logical meritocracy, was the target of my ire. Thank you, for you articulated my unspoken word.

This motivated me to buy a Notebook Dock for my iPad. My work laptop was recently relieved of my terrible mastership, so I’m going to try and see how an iPad and Desktop combination works.

Agreed, but I assume their kicker will be the fact that people will put in the touted 1-2 days of porting effort to get their iOS/Android apps onto BB10 for the $10,000. It doesn’t sound so little then.

I assume it’s the WiFi range vs. the A2DP range. 10 metres expandable to 30, is not the same as the ~90 metres of a WiFi range. One confines you to a room, the other can have you mowing your lawn and still hear your music. Moreover, WiFi’s bandwidth of ~54GHz is vastly superior to the 2.4GHz of A2DP – some “audiophiles” would no doubt want to play their 48kHz/16 Vinyl rips on these if they got them.
