I’m waiting for the hardware panel…nothing they’ve talked about so far has blown my skirt up. I don’t have cable TV, I’m not a huge sports fan, and I’ve never been interested in Kinect or talking to it. I like the controller a lot though, there’s no bulgy battery pack, the D pad looks much better, and the sticks look nice and grippy.

Sure a lot of our gun deaths are suicides, even disregarding those, our gun related homicides per capirta are easily 10-20 times higher than European and Asian countries. Totally unacceptable.

So what you’re saying is gun control in Japan has failed because people still commit suicide there. Here I was thinking gun control was here to save us all from the crippling depression and abuse that often lead to suicide. Silly me.

The real draw for me has been all the support Sony has given to indie devs and I think it was a brilliant move on their part to push that angle hard. The people who follow indie games and buy them regularly are the indie rock hipsters of the gaming community. They start many of the trends, contribute to kickstarters, and drum up hype for games that no one has heard of yet. This is one of the most valuable demographics you can have in your pocket because they influence millions of other gamer’s purchasing decisions.
