Ivy Bridge doesn’t have much CPU muscle over Sandy Bridge (assuming that’s what you have). It does have a much better GPU, but even then it shouldn’t be any more powerful than your ATI graphics. Upgrade your GPU if you must.

I keep hearing about this SPDY, but I have no clue what this means. Google should demo something like spdy://www.google.com (if that’s even possible) if they really want people to get a hang of it.
Same goes for WebP images; they are smaller in size but you don’t find them anywhere, not even demo Google sites.
Google is slightly more bullish about WebM, but H.264 offers better compression (which is vital for online videos).
It’s great that they are making all these things, but trying to move forward with the optimizations would be a good second step.
