“It doesn’t completely make sense though when it sounds like publishers would lose more revenue with this model than the conventional used game system.”
Exactly. Sounds a little too good to be true. I hope it is though.
Wait, what? PS4 doesn’t have any DRM system. The only thing publishers can do is make you buy an online pass or something. They can’t prevent you from playing a used copy of their game.
It reminds me of when I was excited about lending books on the Kindle…until I found out it was up to the publishers to allow it. Consequently, I don’t have a single book that I’m “allowed” to lend. Very frustrating.
“It sucks that I won’t be able to play my games if I lend my disc to someone else with the PS4.”
Please explain what you mean by this. You can’t do this on the Xbox One either. I mean, you’ll be able to play your game without the disc, but your friend won’t be able to play it unless they pay full price for it. But I notice you said “lend my disc”, so maybe you’re aware that lending the disc is not the same thing as lending the game.
Not true. I want to play it, and I haven’t played it on PC because I don’t have a machine capable of running it properly. I’m looking forward to this. Though, I don’t know why they’re wasting time releasing it on the current generation of consoles.
There are console games that aren’t available on PC. Anyway – if you’re not into console games, I can see why you wouldn’t find a good reason to buy a console gaming system…
