About Austin Deane

I am 18 years old, and graduating high school this year. I have many varied interests and talents. I'm a very talented and passionate tuba player, and have played tuba since the summer before grade 8 (I've been in the music program since grade 6). At the start of grade 8, I joined the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra (a highly advanced group of musicians that plays university and orchestral level music). I'm also a fairly talented and passionate composer. I don't have many pieces composed, and chances are you haven't heard of me, but I do exist :P . My hope is to go to the UofS for at least a year for the Musical composition program, which will allow me to further develop my skills. After that, I hope to go into the Industrial Design program at the UofA. I love designing technology, such as phones and tablets. After that, whether or not I start my own tech company (Nova), the idea is that the skills and ideas I learn at the UofA can be transferred into the last program I want to go into, architecture at the UofM/W. Since grade 7, I've had a large passion and surprising talent for drawing floor plans and making 3D models of the things I draw and design. For example, I have a large number of floor plans for houses, as well as 3D models for them. And I've also designed a skyscraper which, if built, would be by far the tallest in the world at 10,000' tall, or 3048m. That is over 3km tall. It is huge. Anyways, this is some of the more important points about myself.
