I’m aware the technology has been improved, but the argument that the implementation has also improved remains to be seen. You didn’t address my comment with anything to rebut what I stated.
Using voice controls has probably been the easiest-to-use feature in the current Kinect. Multiple games have used it extensively to great benefit. The fact that this article glosses over that fact makes it either misleading or misinformed.

TROLL HARDER, BRO.
The point was saying something should have been released in the first version of a new product is asinine, because if that was the case there would be no room for improvement. Windows 8.1 is the first version of Windows 8. It’s an entirely new look designed for tablets, laptops and desktops. Implying it shouldn’t be looked at as a new operating system in terms of its device support is asinine.
If every product was perfect from Day One, then that’d be amazing. But they’re not. There’s competition and financial issues at stake. Stop pretending you don’t realize this. “Starting from square 1 shouldn’t be the goal of every new product release”? C’mon. You were trolling and you know it. The goal was to provide an interface that works on touch interfaces. If you think that would’ve been capable with the previous Windows interface, you’re smoking crack.

That’s the world of journalism — you do far more than what’s expected of you. It’s not simply as easy as leaving the newspaper when there aren’t a ton of options available unless you have something lined up.

Insulting you out of ignorance? No, friend, I insulted you clearly because of your ignorance.
First of all, you could actually read the Senate report that illustrates exactly how Apple avoids billions of dollars in taxes through loopholes. There have also been plenty of breakdowns of its tax-avoidance strategy that you can find through a simple Google search, as I already told you.
Secondly, your statement that I’m “rambling” in my posts here, yet that’s all you’ve done. Your argument is that because they pay the most taxes then they’re paying what they owe. That’s all well and good, but Apple’s was the largest company in the world until last month, so of course they’re paying more than other companies. And, yes, Apple is not the only one doing it: WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID IN MY FIRST POST.
Are you seriously this incompetent? You rage against me for only complaining about Apple, yet MY VERY FIRST POST complains about Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and others avoiding taxes. I specifically said I liked all those companies, yet you label me as an “Apple hater” because I called them out in a topic that is specifically about them.
You’re now defending the use of tax havens by saying because money is essentially shipped overseas they have no obligation to pay taxes on it. No, that’s called tax avoidance. And then it hires more than 150 lobbyists to defend the strategy so our flawed legislative branch doesn’t do anything to fix it.
It’s nice that you’re so obsessed with Apple you’ll defend anything they do,but some of us are based in reality.

…you’re full of bullcrap.
There have been countless articles detailing how Apple strategically avoids taxes. I’m not here to guide you through how to use Google or read the news — educate yourself. Yes, Apple pays taxes. No, they don’t pay taxes on everything they owe, despite what Tim Cook tells you.

The amount of uneducated bantering going on in these comments about how Apple doesn’t avoid taxes is absolutely insane. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and tons of other technology companies I (and I’m sure others on here) like brazenly avoid paying what they need to.
I’m sorry, but liking a company is no reason to forgive them for being bad corporate citizens. The money they don’t pay makes our company worse, plain and simple. It’s less money that can go to government programs. Less money that goes to help those in need. Less money that goes to paying off the national debt.
Get your heads out of your rears and realize this is a problem. Loopholes in our tax code need to be closed, but they can’t be closed because powerful companies have too much sway.

Let’s say you buy an Xbox One. What is going to make you not use it for TV and instead use your cable box?
I’d use it for the convenience of the Xbox One’s operations — I can switch between gaming and watching TV on the fly, or I can snap it to the side while video chatting with someone. I can get interactive updates, I can chat with friends; it’s basically everything other web TV applications haven’t been.
This article completely ignores the functionality and says that just because the operating style is the same means the entire system is the same — which is beyond absurd. Why would I change to my cable box when I can control it with the Xbox One and do other tasks at the same time?
Yes, it would be better if legitimate IPTV were available in the U.S. But it’s not. And given the capabilities available, this is easily the best option out there. I’ll take this over using the satellite set-top box any day of the week.
