The haven’t even started yet, Haswell was just officially announced, so give it a few months and there will be powerful laptops with amazing battery life. Majority of the High class laptops haven’t announced their haswell upgrades yet

he can’t play Doctor, because the Doctor is almost a year long thing, he can’t be doing others things during that time, he still has Sherlock and Hobbit for the next few years that take alot of his time

The older versions were limited to 12 regenerations by the council or w/e the ruling body was, but they could potentially regenerate more than 12 times if allowed. There’s really no telling if that limit still applies or not, and even if it does they’ll find some means of getting around that.
