I am glad that you too, like both Apple’s iOS and Android, but you are totally missing the point. Apple has always had one goal:
Make it beautiful!
They always go for the craziest most beautiful amazing designs (and yes, even on the inside :P ) and because this already makes their unit costs high, they simple use the best hardware (well not always the top of the range, because performance was more important to Jobs than specs, which is was an extremely good thing, because specs dont make products, software does…) too, because they can afford to! Steve never ever would have excepted an ugly design just because of usability problems. I mean, look at it, Steve chose a glass iPhone, and what did he go and do with the Macbook, dump it and replace it with the MacBook Air, why, I mean there was definitely still a market for a good mac device which wasn’t super thin, but Steve wanted only the best design! Just compare the original iPhone to every other product from its time and you will realise that beauty was the focus and practicality and hardware wasn’t even in his mind.
Anyway, rant over, if you want practical devices, get someone else’s devices… (just don’t buy anything microsoft!)
