What a shame. Opera is the leader in browser innovation (that matters). With Fotzbock owning it, I will get rid of it and use Chrome instead, which cant hold a candle to Opera in terms of usability, but at least is pretty good from a purely technical point of view.
Facebook really needs to die before they do any more harm to the world.

For Real now, I thought their business model went bust some years ago. Is there anything, besides fraud, they can use to make a profit?

Google doesnt care much about investors. Nobody forced anyone to buy GOOG. The biggest shareholders are the guys and gals in charge anyway.

Everything is coming back to haunt us. Did you notice that todays kids (born in the late 90s) are wearing 80s and 90s fashion as if it was something new?

I think I just heard Zuckis virtual wealth melt away a little… Aww, he’ll still get out ahead even if this story turns ugly one day. And thats why I still want to punch the dumb expression out of his face whenever I see a picture of him.
Let’s hope it melts some more! Melt! Melt! MELT!

A totally different story. Amazon has a steady revenue, cash flow in other words. Earnings are (always) under pressure because Amazon has been buying marketshare ever since (hello Kindle Fire, for example). Its part of their business model and it works because it helps them to grow.
Facebook, on the other hand, has too little of everything that counts and too much of overblown expectations.

Its not peanuts like this that will “safe the planet”! Trucks need to be designed under strict aerodynamic aspects. Fuel savings of 10-30%, depending on how far they push the evenlope, are possible just by reducing drag.
Check out MAN Concept S or the designs of Luigi Colani and many more. It works. Its better than the Brickwalls on wheels we see today but they’re not allowed to leave prototype status – why?

Can you see how the differences between ultra-orthodox jews and islamists are fading on quite a few topics? Same is true for certain christian groups. Thats religion. They’re all the same. They spawn fanatic lunatics all over the world.
I think religion has lost its justification. Which doesnt mean spirituality has, though. The former is man made for the purpose of controlling people. Spirituality is personal and different for everyone.

Google never really left china. They just played people such as you like a flute and made you believe they have principles beyond the almighty dollar.
On the other hand, Google never even implied they would want to close down Android. So this whole story is a rather mute point. Not to mention that there are (currently and at least for the next 5+ years) far more important markets (US and Europe), that had completely different worries about that buyout than keeping Android open…

You missed the “… and the stars in daylight” part. When was the last time you even saw the stars, besides our sun, in broad daylight?

And many investors will, at some later point, try to catch a falling knife because they think it bottomed out after the inevitable correction(s).

Exactly. Sort of. Jobs was a semi tech illiterate. If they work only with the biography (i.e. what Jobs told Isaacson), its going to look weird in some details. The Woz knows his shit.
