I always find it greatly amusing when people start to say that an as yet unannounced, unnamed, unconfirmed product is delayed….
Secondly:

All together, an unusually poor piece or journalism from a usually brilliant verge team. Might as well read apple insider!!
For me the simplicity and integration of iMessage is hugely underrated. I literally would spend hundreds of pounds (£) when travelling if I didn’t have it.
Failing that, FB or even email are the best ways, IMHO.
