To be clear…. I am not saying we shouldn’t be doing all we can to have our doors locked, but people should also be scared of what is on the other side of the door.

I do not want to see us get to the point where it is just back and forth retaliatory hacking of each other, but the threat should be there.

Well, i think it is more of deterrent than anything else. If foreign companies and governments are free to hack us and they know that the worst thing that can happen is they don’t “get in”, then why wouldn’t they try?

Do you have any idea how much time and money are going into “defense and cyber security”? You can put as many locks on your door as you want, but if someone gets past those, do you just roll over?
