I agree – I mean, I love my iPad but my desktop really serves a different purpose.

The podcasts seem to be the “Tell us what you really think” platforms for the Verge. Vlad will probably rant next week about how blatent a copy it is.

Except it’s more like Company X did something awesome, Company Y did an underwhelming copy. The customers only win when there’s actual innovation.

I was playing with this app the other day. Great when it works, but for some reason it kept speeding up and slowing down my music. Entertaining, but not particularly useful.

Native Airplay-target-ness for iOS devices would be pretty great, either way.

Chris’s “Forced FRAND” idea kind of breaks down the second someone would rather make money selling their awesome new product than make money receiving payments from all the people ripping them off.

It’s also not available outside the US. So yeah.

I dream of a Utopia where all content is available across all platforms and consumers don’t have to lock themselves in somewhere to get the stuff you want.

The I wake up to a reality where accepting money for platform exclusivity is considered a better idea than selling your stuff everywhere.

What other eBook sellers? Amazon is squeezing them out of the market.

I wasn’t referring to anything in this article, it just makes me cringe when I see “Great new product, exclusive to store X!”

I don’t really have anything to say that wouldn’t be hugely ignorant so I’m not going to bother.

I will however say that platform exclusivity is absolutely ridiculous for things like movies or eBooks. Why not just let everyone sell your thing?

I was going to post about how “We should really be focusing on really important things that are going to matter a lot.” is the most vague quote ever, but instead I’m going to say how ridiculous he looks with those glasses.

And that’s why it’s largely the only iPad competitor out there.

I’m honestly having more luck tracking Samsung’s endeavours in the tablet world than I am with Acer. At least Samsung’s product naming is easier to follow.

What happens when your laptop from one of those places break? I’m not seeing Businesses interested in shopping like that any time soon.

Good luck to them – they’re now competing with a $400 iPad.

It’d be more like HP or Dell complaining – and let’s face it, nobody would care what they thought in such a situation.
