The Wii U’s all about subsidized parts and making something as cheap as possible with the veneer of a forward-looking device with high potential, just like the original Wii with its barely-upgraded Gamecube guts and the motion-sensing remote. The 3DS could have had a state-of-the-art Tegra chip if not for a last second switch to a cheaper Asian alternative. All companies are about profit, but Nintendo has unashamedly been focused on spending as little money as possible to maintain its position for the last decade.
This is not a good thing.

Hey Nintendo, stop making retarded gimmicky controller bullshit and make a decent console. People gave a shit about motion control for a hot second and then figured out how dumb it was. Nobody is going to fall for it again.

Yes, Apple refurbs are basically the same thing as a completely new product. They always replace the shell, and fix whatever was broken (it’s also possible this was just a return and had nothing wrong with it). And then they give you a good warranty.

By that logic you should use a typewriter instead of a computer to keep you focused on writing reports.

there was something about the simple act of using a BlackBerry that made you feel more important and productive. Whenever I pulled it out and started typing, I was “getting stuff done.”

They are seriously just all awful, and incredibly expensive too. Some of the “good” brand head units with navigation and stuff cost like $1000 dollars. And they still have a shit UI, slow response to button/touch screen presses, etc.
I’m seriously considering making a dock for an iPad mini and just connecting it’s digital audio out over lightning to an amp. I would suggest this as the most reasonably priced route (or a Nexus 7 if you’re an android fan, concept is the same). The only downside would be getting the 3G model for GPS and a data sim for maps, iTunes match, etc.
