Boghogs were tiny, vicious creatures that lived on a parallel Earth called NowWhat in "Mostly Harmless" by Douglas Adams
No one had had the slightest desire to learn the language of the boghogs for the simple reason that these creatures communicated by biting each other very hard on the thigh.
Life on NowWhat being what it was, most of what a boghog might have to say about it could easily be signified by these means.
Kinda like some tech blogs.
Here's hoping for an Earth with more fruitful communication.

I don’t think Apple will do a giant Phablet phone.
I can see a larger edge to edge device-maybe 4.5 and it having a new sub brand identity ( like iPhone Pro but not that)
I can see the cheaper phone for China etc being 4 in and gain having its own identity ( like Nano but probably not that name)
I think they will retain the 4S as iPhone Classic with Lightning and other minor updates. Is is still hugely successful – many people prefer the small screen and the solid feel.

IPad doesn’t need a keyboard to use its key feature. Surface does.

He is wrong. The Google apps require a licence but that licence is free. The OEM has only to abide by Google’s terms. They can’t chose to use one and not all of them and they can’t alter them.
If any money changes hands it is I’m the opposite direction – Google pays OEMs and carriers for being kept as default (as they also do Apple)

Do they charge for it?
It is also distributed by Sansubg as part of a paid product, that makes Samsung liable.

They are suing Sansung because they already have a case ongoing with them. If they are successful, they will no doubt sue Motorola. They will not sue HTC or Sony as they have cross licences. Not sure about the others.
As for Siri and Google Now having little in common, this is patently (ha!) untrue but it is up to the court to decide if the commonality extends to infringement of patent.

Pretty unlikely.
New MacBooks and the big “surprise” will be the US built Mac Pro.

Reloading tabs has nothing to do with multitasking, it is because it is running out of memory. Reloading content does not count as a new visit anyway.

MS have now revised the page to remove the statement that the screen is larger.
It still has the wrongly scaled images.

I just spoke again with my friend in France Télécom and she says the Facebook announcement is bull. It was EE that cancelled the launch, not Facebook. Facebook have said they will supply updated software and revised terms ( probably make the phone cheaper and/or sale/return policy).

Yes, it makes sense because Samsung profit from using it, Google do not.

That is the shame of it. Samsung can get away with infringing and build up the biggest smartphone business because it takes the courts so long to stop them.

They can’t even sue Google over the N4. They would need to sue LG who are the responsible party.
Google’s strategy with Android has always been to to avoid liability.

I have heard that too (through a friend at retailler Carphone Warehouse and another at France Telecom who own Orange). The real story is that they were going to cancel the launch altogether but Facebook have persuaded them to hold off until a revised software package is available.

I was selling phones in those days and Sense was vastly better than the clunky, amateur looking stock interface. We sold several hundred Desires in the 4 months I was there. Easily the best selling Android phone. We sold one Nexus.

On OSX , yes. It is vastly better.. On iOS, no, it isn’t but it doesn’t try to be.
RT tries to give the full PowerPoint but it is too slow and lumpy to be useful.

Only if by advantage you mean you can open full Powerpoints. The fact that you have to work in netbook mode and it is painfully slow cancels out most of the advantage.
Apple products generally do less but do it better. You would never create a presentation from scratch on an iPad. You could on an RT machine but you would be stupid.
You can edit and tailor on an iPad and it is a superb presentation machine.
