That’s strange, I’m holding the 5th iPhone right now. It was released last October and has a home button.
On the actual topic: a future iPhone might loose the home button someday, but if they do there will be something that doesn’t require two hands (this includes a multi-touch gesture) to execute and it will have to be even more natural and obvious than having a single, front-and-center button.
Until someone can explain to be WHAT method is better than a button, while still retaining one-handed operation, I firmly believe future iPhones will stick with a physical butt0n.

This is absolutely beautiful, and that’s coming from someone who thinks every version of Android has paled in comparison to iOS. Beautifully done.
