I think it does it’s purpose well. It evokes the brand while not looking terrible. But yeah, it’s nothing “special.”

The logo looks fine. Good spacing, font choice, and a good callback to the other logo.

But the beeps and boops don’t make sense for the sounds. There isn’t anything mechanical about the logo so why should those noises be evoked?

All you need is a printer and an iPad to become the next Shigeru Miyamoto — no coding required.

I hope that sentences like this are written with the intent of sarcasm. Although this idea is very cool, it still will limit you to creating games that the app will let you create. From the sounds of it you aren’t creating games, you are creating levels. Taking coding out of the process takes away freedom to truly create.
