The plain English translation is essentially “I don’t like your comment, so I assume you are a complete loser.”
Stupid.

First of all, no it doesn’t. Second, I’d guess that Whatsapp and Kik probably have more users than BBM at this point. Third, iMessage has more users than probably all of them combined and works better too.

Google+ isn’t superior lol. Google just tells you it is. It has like 10% of the features of Facebook.

Yeah if anything this just gives people more reason to leave. The only redeeming feature of Blackberry is now available on anything? I don’t think they thought this through very well.

I’m genuinely curious how many of you have actually taken the time to read this bill, because it seems like almost no one commenting here has actually read it or even knows what it actually pertains to.
Anyway, I finally gave in and read the whole thing this morning and it changed my opinion of it quite a bit. I tried to shorten it up and condense/summarize it to make it easier to read for the average person, and I put it in this one and a half page pdf
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6q2vi0cu1h66fii/CISPA%20in%20plain%20speak.pdf
Those of you who are opposed: 1) have you read the actual bill, 2) which clauses are you opposed to, and 3) why?
Not trolling, I’m genuinely curious and would like to have a discussion a little bit deeper than “the government is mean and evil and wants to spy on me!”
Personally, after reading through all of it (the new version), I really don’t have a problem with it anymore.
