they’ll never learn. the only good news is that their reluctance to give their customers what they want is that it will, eventually, result in their demise. the ENTIRE industry is changing faster than these greedy fucks realize. sadly, they have the power to fuck it all up because they’re also our access to the internet. they have the money (thanks to decades of raping their customers) to get the laws passed that allow them to control and shape our internet usage and it’s only a matter of time before they start restricting access to the sites and services that threaten their television contracts.
they’re already doing it but it’s gonna get worse.

apple does not make “the best laptop” or the best “all in one pc” or the best “desktop pc”
they make the best LOOKING in those categories. you should be more clear about that. there is NOTHING superior (and often there is plenty INferior) about their products OTHER than the appearance. when you factor cost vs benefit apple NEVER wins and every year they’re falling even further behind.
and people ARE noticing. stock prices are falling, true, because apple isn’t entering any new markets but they’re also falling because the general public is beginning to not be impressed by flashy LOOKING hardware that doesn’t perform any better than the slightly less pretty competitor that costs $500-1000 bucks less.

exactly. and the best part is, those were the two candidates that were chosen FOR us. americans think they elect our president but they fail to realize (over and over every four years) that regardless of who we elect the game is the same.
stupid people made stupid by their government. go figure.

you gotta admit though, it’s clever how they are going about this. lets make everyone LOVE the idea because it will lower the chances of having your phone stolen! who doesn’t want that!?!
the thing that most people should be offended about is how blatantly they are taking advantage of the average american’s stupidity. of course, given that stupidity, it’s not surprising most people don’t even THINK about this.

we should oppose this with EVERY fiber of our beings. think about this. our GOVERNMENT wants the cellphone companies (who we already know are easily compromised by our government) to have a way to instantly kill ALL the cellphones on their networks.
please. think about that …

all your favorite tv shows are already available “in the cloud”. it’s called “the internet” and all the shows you could possible want are free and easily obtained without paying the ridiculously overpriced monthly bill to the criminal cable companies.
cut the cord people. spend 10 minutes looking up newsgroups and learn how to save all that money and fuck the greedy cable companies in their asses.

dear the verge,
i understand that you have to have advertisements to pay the bills. i get it. however, if you continue to force feed us 30 second commercials before we can watch ANY of your videos, you are going to LOSE visitors. now, you just forced me to watch TWO commercials.
unacceptable. there are other ways to monetize your website that aren’t obnoxious and annoying. the web is FULL of tech sites that all report the same stuff you guys do. there is no NEED to come here. you must make people WANT to come here. forcing us to sit through ads that we will NEVER click on is not, by ANY measure, a good way to make us want to come back.
stop it. you should know better.

and fix the persistent wifi connectivity issue that a lot of folks are still having. other than that flaw, i’ve yet to find a more perfect tablet than my surface pro. i might even marry it if it was legal.
