Probably a loose connection somewhere. Take it to your nearest Apple store or to your carriers retail location. If they can fix it, it’ll be covered under your 1 year warranty.

Jon Hodgeman was a PC. Not a PC user. The ads often play on Hodgeman getting a virus, having trouble networking with another device, BSoDing, and doing other things that happen to a PC, not to a PC user.

Only time it’s ever failed me is because I was out in the boonies, and by “failed me” I mean that it flipped back to SMS… So the other person still got it, but it was green on my phone and went to their phone but not their iPad.

No, I’m angry that it would cost hundreds to have the same experience in Real Racing 3 as it would in Real Racing 2. Freemium is not a really the same a Free. Freemium means, “we want you to pay additional money every time you want this game to play like a premium experience that you would have previously paid outright for.”

If all of the networks decide to do this, I’ll be a happy man. Hulu+ has adds even with a pay model. If I’m going to watch ads, I’d like to do it for free.

They have some good games, but that’s increasingly because they’re buying the talent then bleeding the franchises dry. They haven’t done it to MF or Battlefield yet, but I don’t doubt they will.

I dunno. I rather like the controller myself. We have one TV in the house and I have kids. I’m not particularly interested in watching Power Rangers or My Little Ponies, but I don’t mind sitting in the room with my kids and playing console games on the tablet screen. I also don’t mind letting my son play some of his games while my wife and I watch the TV. And there really are a lot of good family games to play that utilize the tablet controller.
We don’t watch a lot of TV or even play a lot of games, but much of the time that the TV is in demand is overlapping time.

Maybe it’s sour grapes on his part, but in all honesty, EA is really a horrible company and they’re only getting worse. You need look no further than the freemium model that they employ in virtually all of their mobile games.

The 5:27 interview video that is posted on this page is exactly what I said it is. It’s focused on Bill and Steve. The longer interview between Charlie and Bill is a profile of Bill and his foundation. I don’t see where I suggested otherwise.

The video above is not the Charlie Rose interview with Bill Gates. It’s a 60 Minutes interview with Charlie Rose, featuring clips from the interview with Bill Gates. The thrust of the video is Bill and Steve’s relationship and Bill’s comments on Steve.

I use a Mini as a video capture machine. It’s in a fixed location attached to a camcorder. I use CamTwist to layer a Keynote presentation over the top left corner of the live video to share. It handles that like a champ. I have Automator on my editing machine (on the same network) monitoring a folder on the drive and putting it onto the connected Drobo.

My wife had the blue version when I still had my 5th gen classic. I always kind of thought this was a really neat little iPod.

I have one that’s just a year older than yours. It’s still handy as a target for AirPlay (with AirFoil installed), and it’s connected to a couple of large external FW drives that have a good bit of media on them. It doesn’t get used often for anything other than being a pipe, though.

I’m sorry, but I don’t know how you could think this was a bad design. It’s still one of the most attractive machines I’ve seen out of any company, and it wasn’t beige, it was white. That’s just a horrible picture of it.

I looked for pictures, but couldn’t come up with one. It was a plastic, snap-on attachment that elongated the mouse so it was more traditionally shaped.

I wish I still had mine. I honestly think it was the best clickwheel iPod (though I also kind of liked the “fat” Nano). The newer classics aren’t bad by any stretch of the imagination, but I think the 5th gen felt much better and looked a little more high end.
