Yeah I do realise there are more people behind the album than Jay Z, you dont need to patronise me. What, you think I believe Jay Z is just knocking these out in his bedroom?

Trust me, you dont need to inform me about the point of Coca Cola, Nike and McDonalds advertising, my whole family work in the industry and I’ve done work in it too. There are more books in my house on branding, advertising and consumer culture than you could shake a stick at. This is the kind of thing we chat about round our family dinner table.

As for fragmenting purchasing accessability, I never said it ‘promotes piracy’, but I believe it will move potential buyers to piracy. Take something like House of Cards. People want to view it, but their country doesnt have netflix, so they pirate it. Their accessability to purchase is non existant, thus they are forced into piracy. People might want to consume this Jay Z album but cant because they down own a samsung product. Unless they wait, they’re gonna pirate it.

This is in fact quite a bit different to releasing something early on itunes, but still i don’t think thats a great idea either. iTunes is much more accessible than people who own samsung products.

I can’t understand why Jay Z would do something like this, its not like he needs the endorsement or the money?

Second, this is just gonna lead to more piracy. Fragmenting purchasing accessibility will just lead to more piracy, which although may seem counter to the first point, (you could argue he doesn’t care much about piracy with so much already being earned through music) surely its a bad thing for the industry he works in and wants to support?

I hope this isnt the final design. While I personally want something flatter, cleaner, edgier and more like say Gmail on iOS app, I think Apple will be forced to play it safe with their huge user base right now.

If the changes are big, people will be very vocal about bitching. Ive is in a tough position.

Vice City yeah, but thats designed for the big screen. Candy crush on a big screen is useless, just makes it awkward mapping controls to a controller, when its just there on your phone screen.

Some games translate, some don’t. Until we see creatively made games that work well on mobile platforms and controllers, anything moving across is gonna fall short somewhere. There will success stories, just not too many right now

Thats a good point. There’s no point increasing graphics if it detracts from gameplay.

Good graphics should serve the gameplay. Sounds like a good mantra for graphic art designs like cell shaded or something
