But it’s a forced move. By summer everyone except those in mainland China will be on Skype.

Hangouts will be among the first to provide one, alongside Facebook Messenger and Viber.
How about the elephant in the room, Skype? it’s now integrated into Microsoft’s web services with a global rollout still coming. If we’re gonna talk about messaging services that are also mobile, I really think Skype should at least get a nod…

It’s a global refresh on the 920. As mentioned in this and other articles, it’s being released worldwide. Only T-Mobile gets it in the US though.

No, people who only look at numbers and ar eimpressed with quad core want quad core. This (or iPhones) aren’t selling (or not selling) because of the amount of ram and number of cores.

Call me crazy, but if I were living in the Congo, the last thing on my mind would be checking my email. These phones aren’t made for people in developed countries. Its for countries that have far less resources. If i lived there, I’d be more concerns with clean water than say, checking my twitter feeds and checking in on Foursquare.
Way to show your first world bias. Nokia is targeting a world you clearly don’t think about.

It’s SNL. I’m sure they did more than enough research but for the sake of a 3 minute skit over exaggerated to make it funny. Who watches comedy skits for accuracy?

I’m sure you can calibrate it to fit your room and needs. And no one says you have to buy this so if your wife doesn’t like it then don’t use it.
And don’t blame Microsoft for you laying your controllers around your house. This is another piece of tech and you just take care of it like you handle the rest of your stuff. If you don’t pick it up and your wife bitches, that’s your fault.

If anything they’re making a more immersive experience. I don’t see how they’re leaving gamers behind when they’re allowing us to feel even more like we’re in the game.
You sure like to complain old man. :P I sit 7-10 feet away (depending on the day) and this will allow for feeling more in the game; sitting up close won’t help that except hurt your ears and eyes.

I think it’s more that consumers think “this cost $X instead of $XX. Therefore $XX must be better because it costs more.” And because Windows Phone is designed to not cost an arm and a leg because it’s optimized, it falls into that category.

Can we have less hate please? It’s a top of the line Windows Phone on America’s largest network and will be marketed heavily. Lets be happy for that.

Yeah it’s a post on a forum, but the poster is quite accurate in his other observations/predictions so I don’t see why he’d lie about this.
