It’s likely that the local telcos that have monopolies in these communities will sue and lobby the local government until any competitors(community based or not) are more or less banned from offering any kind of competition. Communities that have done heavy lifting in this area have been crushed by the local capitalist monopoly previously. Eat the rich.

That’s not true any longer. They are becoming less and less credible. There’s been plenty of editorializing in regular articles since they got bought by Murdoch. Sadly they’re becoming more and more like just another one of Murdochs newspapers.

If a cop is doing his/her job then why wouldn’t she/he want to document everything he/she does. Are they not proud of the work they are doing? Why would more video evidence be a bad thing? Unless you’re undercover I don’t see the issue.
