Almost a quarter century back, Intel promised a 64bit future with IA64 (Itanium). The reason: “x86 can’t do that”.
“Just a couple years ago”, Intel shipped its first AMD64 processor, because IA64 was not finding traction. That same year, Intel dumped its Xscale (ARM) division, just months before the smartphone market was set to explode.
It remains to be seen whether this dedication to their own architecture will be Itanic.

1.3 billion is walking around money for Tim Cook. I think Apple actually won the bid, but balked when nobody could make change for a billion dollar note.

In many cases, graffiti is the artifact.
Desecration, looting, and destruction existed long before Facebook, the smartphone, or even cameras existed. Vanity, greed, and pride are human elements no less powerful than earth, wind, fire, and water.

It’s useless in the air, but perhaps handy on the other end of my destination.
Why waste money and/or time checking a bag just because I’m carrying a Leatherman? Knives are banned under a double standard that doesn’t apply to people carrying much larger blades like scissors (up to 4 inches) and ice skates.

I’m not entirely sure it’s representative of all wheelchair users, much less other people with accessibility needs.
But in that case, would it be too much to also ask for signage noting that people use bicycles (quite visibly), and they are not just inanimate objects on the road?

I have two responses to this comment:
1) I don’t work in the medical profession and I’m not a health/food nut, but I’ve definitely known about this for years.
2) If I hadn’t heard of it before, one of my two responses to the article would have been “ick”, especially the part about using a tube through the nose.

Healthy teeth can’t hide the stench of secret meetings, rushed votes, and millions of dollars plucked from thin air. I voted against the means, not the end of fluoridation. You better believe it’s in my toothpaste.
And yes, Portlanders DO cherish their local, fresh Bull Run water, made from pure mountain snow.
