The trackpad does not have as many gestures or functions on the windows side of boot amp. That being said, it is Still the best trackpad made for windows. Boot camp gives you the basic drivers to use it but most gestures do not work. There are many articles written about how the MacBook is the best laptop running windows 7. The graphics card actually runs better on the windows side, at the expense of heat and shorter battery life. I don’t have windows 8 on my bootcamp and never plan to update it.
My biggest complaint is the time t takes to switch OS’s, eventhoughni haven ssd it still takes too long IMO. Oh and my external drives, being Mac formatted, can’t be accessed on the windows side,
