Hilarious. Another reason why I read the Verge….

Anyone else find it amusing that a 3.7" phone is now labelled as ‘little’. Yes, statistically-speaking, if you compare to all other current phones (including the stupid-big 5.3" Note) this is on the lower-end. But — ‘little’??? What does that make the iPhone — tiny? And the Veer — micro?
I know … picky-picky.
For what it’s worth, I agree with Vlad in that 4.2" screens is about the maximum for comfortable one-handed use.

I got to thinking about this a bit more yesterday. For personal reasons (ie: bandwidth caps, 1080p, etc.) I prefer to watch my movies via BluRays vs. internet-streaming. The last BluRay rental place in my neighborhood (the big guy that drove all the Mom & Pop shops out of business) just decided they don’t want to rent any more.
Not that I blame them (it’s business), but, now I’m kind-of screwed. My choices are now: buy every movie in BluRay (vs. rent) or stream via online rental/Netflix, etc…
If Paul was in my shoes — he’d ONLY be able to buy everything. Retail stores are becoming increasingly more internet dependent (ie: less stock at brick & mortar stores, etc…. just think about how Paul found his Nokia)
Like it or not, the Internet has become an integral part of everyday life.
The moral I take from Paul’s story is that it’s important to regulate how connected you are. Do we really need to be connected ALL the time? Offline is good sometimes.

Wow…. I’m a three way tie between in-awe, envious and stupified. I couldn’t possibly accomplish my job without some of the internet basics (eMail, VPN, file sharing, etc..), but, my connectivity is pithy compared to a technology blogger! Considering everything seems to be going (cringeworthy quote about to come) ‘to the cloud’, I’m trainwreck-curious (no disrespect meant, Paul) to see how you pull it off!
Of course the awe/envy part of the equation is there: I genuinely enjoy those vacations where I leave the cell at home — be sure to hand over lots of USB-drives with your notes so a co-worker can publish your progress!
Good luck.

To everyone who posted about the 25 GB Skydrive in the comments – thanks! I’m pretty much a DropBox user and rarely use my MS Live account for anything … but, this extra 25 GB storage with folder-specific links could come in quite handy. So…. thanks to you all, I caught the 25 GB upgrade in-time. Excellent!
