Fuck the uptown gypsy cabs.
Honking and beeping at anything near a curb, impatiently honking as soon as the light turns green, undermining or outright ignoring the flow of traffic or the laws that govern it!
Is it a one lane street? Not to them!
See those kids trying to cross at the light? They don’t!
They also totalled my car.
Fuck. Them.

Disagree. When you own a production company or do ad designs from a home office, no matter the size, you don’t jump ship to the newest version right off the bat! Ask any Flash developer out there about that (if there are still any out there).
What you do is keep using the version that works for what you want to accomplish. If a newer version comes out that does what you want it to do better, you upgrade. Otherwise you risk breaking your workflow.
The way adobe should be making money is by improving the newer versions, making them enticing enough for you to want to upgrade, and leaving the subscription option for hobbyists or people who want to try the latest version…and for god sakes getting rid of the 1 year lock in!

They’re missing a real opportunity here. Why not strike a deal with Apple and have the iPad function as that tablet? They would make money hand over fist selling official nintendo licensed peripherals.

I agree. They’re vanilla, widely available and nationwide without the prohibitive cost of cable ownership for the viewer. Over the air television stations have so much money BECAUSE they’re over the air and reach everyone. Local, privately owned stations are very lucrative. Going cable only would cause chaos at affiliate stations.

We’ve been saying the same things about television: the age of on demand television is coming “very soon”, the age of smart television is supposed to be coming “very soon”. Just like smart watches, they’re already here, but none of them are any good. I think at this point, its about buying the next best thing to perfect till perfect comes along.

Most people I know get one version, decide if the newer features would make their lives easier, then upgrade if it does. I honestly don’t know too many people who updated to the newest version year on year. This leaves you entirely at the whims of Adobe. Considering how much complaining developers have been voicing about how broken each successive version of Flash has been, this may be the nail in coffin for that as well.
Hell, what if there’s a program in this year’s CC that won’t be in next years. Am I out of luck because it auto updates? I subscribe, but I dream of the moment when I can get Adobe out of my pocket each month. I kinda feel this robbing me of that opportunity…

The only ones hurt in this situation was the swat team! I’m imagining that Wolf Blitzer’s years of secret combat training came in handy. I once saw him leap down from a 4 story building and immobilize two thugs. True Story.
