I think in this age of rapidly evolving technology, tech patents need to have a short life. I think ten or fifteen years should be the length of a valid patent. Kind of like how the Drug company only have patents on drugs for a certain length of time. These old and outdated patents are just used as ammunition in this anti-competitive warfare going on in the courtrooms.

WOW. My disdain for apple has now turned into all out hatred toward apple. The patent suit was ludicrous and this is even crazier.
