No.
I’m not saying that it is a bubble that will pop. Maybe they’ll be profitable for years. But the increase on mobile, and the fact that they cannot monetize that (IMO) means that half of their users generate NO revenue for them. Users hate ads on mobile, it’s been shown already. Facebook provides a service. That service, while having some substitutes, has yet to be really challenged by a new start up since Twitter. The next social board to come out will make a dent in Facebook and their marketshare.

ARM vs. x86. While the advances in x86 are surely continuing to move forward and a good clip, it’s nothing like the ARM innovation that we’re currently seeing (I’m sure it will flatten out eventually). For example, name a time when computers doubled their clock speed, decreased power consumption and drove significantly better graphics in only a few months time. That’s what ARM is doing and also why I don’t see this whole ‘Retina’ thing on the MacBook. I think a resolution bump is in store, but HOW can a jump from Intel 3000 integrated graphics to Intel 4000 push twice as many pixels? Not happening, IMO.

My most used Siri function is the reminders application. It’s downright awesome and I never forget anything. For some reason, whenever Siri seems to be not working, the reminders still seem to work fine (as far as voice accuracy, speed, ect).

Yes. And in my mind a very important product for Apple to get kids in on the Apple experience at a young age. Kids who cannot have phones now use iPod touches and the messaging app in some schools over Wifi. I believe the iPod touch is the gateway drug of the Apple hardware sales.

NEX 7? I think that is the closest one currently. Has some manual controls on the knobs as well as a viewfinder. It’s also like $1000 for the body though.

The Pro could be a solid computer through the next few years with upgrades (SSD + Hard drive is an option or maxing out the RAM). Unless you’re acquiring a budget every three years to get a new Mac, I say go Pro. It will have longer life with upgrades than the static Air.

Well I just went through shopping for a monitor (although color accuracy was my main goal) and I got the Asus VH236H. It’s really nice, especially for the price of $139. However, maybe the ML228H is more your style? Has that nice stand.

I do. Liberally borrow interpretative ideas. But the thing about it is if software maker A comes out with some feature, you can always bet that software vendor B will have some spin on it.
The notification center is an excellent point; I also believe that this red bubble is one too. Whereas one applies to an entire operating system (Android had it before iOS) the red bubbles are just SO Apple that I think it’s sad. Microsoft has shown you can do a number based notifier with Windows Phone without copying Apple. In fact, Windows Phone even has a little emoticon to show how many messages are unread (love it).

Actually, yes, that is sad too.
I can totally admit that both Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and Google steal software ideas. When they do, they should be ashamed of themselves. Was truly not trying to troll.

True enough. I’m just flabbergasted at actually taking the money to purchase this device unless I had super-specific needs. Geez, even an Airplay capable receiver would probably suit the needs of this, can that can power 7 speakers!

Who is it locked to if it is locked? If you’re in the US, Sprint’s iPhone are the hardest to sell aftermarket along with the Verizon ones.

People really buy these at that price? Seems way too much for what you’re getting. A 2.1 receiver with cheap tower speakers and a sub cost about as much as this and can play from far more sources at much higher quality.
