The 925 is a worthy MLU that will appeal to more people and will open up the corporate business for Microsoft. It is a better product in many ways than the Lumia 920. It will also be more popular with people that have smaller hands. It was designed for this market not for nerds that want the latest hardware.

We can criticize this all day long, but they are selling twice the number of devices. If WP8 continues like this, the 7 Mio units will be 14 Mio units by Q1 2014. Could also be more. WP will soon exceed 100 Mio users.

Exactly. I mean, MS makes Outlook available on Android… Why no YouTube on Windows Phone. Makes no sense… Google is fighting from a near monopoly position… MS will win this one, if not in the US in Europe… which at the end of the day means that MS will win. Google should be smart and make a superb YouTube app so that they get their Advertising Income and everyone is happy.

This phone better don’t cost more than EURO 375.- including 20% VAT or US$490.- off contract. In Europe they are selling the Samsung Ativ S in the EUR 260-320 range, which lacks the good camera but also has a 4.8 Inch Amoled display a 2’300mA battery and microSD slot. Otherwise I find the Lumia 925 to be a nice phone.

I use one, I like it. I would be happy if the frame was real metal. The rear, I don’t care so much about, I mean, I got to be able to remove it for the battery and so. I find that the Ativ S, is one of the nicest Samsung designs, but yes… it is all plastic except for the display.

You have a valid point, the format should make it easy to read, create Letter and A4 documents.

Well, it is still a good start. If you add up all the Windows 8 Tablets from MS, Acer, Samsung… it is a good start. People first have to get used to the idea, use or see one in action before they get the concept. Like I did not buy a Surface, but a Ativ S T700 from Samsung, simply because it was available earlier. As time goes by, prices will come down and hybrids will become the standard notebooks of the day. Even Intel is accelerating its move towards mobile devices. Down the road, MS has not other options as their Phone OS Windows Phone 8 is far from finished and RT not what people want. Thus… remains Windows 8 which they need to improve and provide more affordable hardware for.

I want a nice 4.7 inch to 5 inch display. HD or Full HD. I want that form such a iPhoneXL. I am using both a HTC OneX+ and a Samsung Ativ S… unless I am under the sun the big displays are easier to read and easier for me to type on. Also I would pay extra if it had 128Gb or storage! Is Apple becoming cheap? I pay premium for premium, not for 2nd choice.

I agree with you, carrier locked phones are bad for consumers. People too often forget that they’re locked in and that there is no real way out until the end of the contract. If you get stuck with bad firmware and slow updates, you pay for a phone that might be of no use to you!
