A tech enthusiast just like the rest of us. I've got quite a lot of Apple tech and I enjoy using their integrated approach with them, but I'm not blinded by the 'light' either.
I like to think I'm capable of formulating and articulating well-crafted opinions. Time will tell.

Yes. Let’s destroy a billion-dollar industry.

And so does using Spotify. Or Kindle. Or Hulu.
The issue is in using a reverse engineered implementation of a custom, proprietary protocol. I like Airfoil a lot, but that was obviously not going to go over well.
No biggy, they’ll remove this functionality and warn people not to update to a ‘new’ version without this functionality.

Coming from someone with a Mac, and a looooot of startup applications, this does indeed happen. It’s not something you can overcome though, because loading those user startup items before you log in is a security risk. An SSD makes these issues feel much smaller, though.

A pages indicator in that style would make little sense, because there is no real point to going back several pages. I would say remove that (which also makes this less interrupting because, right now, it is very high) and the volume/brightness icons (they should be on the same row also to use less height) and you’d be golden. I love the idea of adding little app-specific buttons to the “media” page, and I like settings page a lot as well.
My only gripe with the settings page is that it’s extremely busy. Perhaps after removing some height, you can integrate the buttons back into the bottom drawer and have it be less busy that way.
I might try a Photoshop response to your post to clarify myself – I like what you’re doing but I feel you’re overdoing it a little bit.

That’s not what this is about. (also, you’re a fanboy, sorry!)
This is about whether a company will fulfill its legal obligation that is laid upon it by the court of law. Samsung did not do that, hence, they are penalized. That’s what this is about.
Not about petty fights about which tech company apes who.

By the way, Mountain Lion will get this sort of functionality by default.
