That bit would still work, this issue is entirely with the browser-based interface. And mate, it takes about five minutes to bypass the region issues forever with GVoice if you really want to make free calls to North American numbers (or get your own US number via Google).

Gah, I recently moved to Malta to work after years of living on the West Coast. All the big North American news stories are posted in my evenings now, or when I’m sleeping. Which means I have to (gulp!) actually work during the day since all my favourite sites are pretty much dead during business hours here. :(

I get pinged all the time by headhunters and internal recruiters via LinkedIn, and have had some interesting job offers as a result. The fact that I haven’t taken one of those jobs is in no way a reflection on the efficacy of LinkedIn.

I landed my last job and my upcoming job through Gamasutra, but guess what? LinkedIn was still part of the process, as my employers used it after the fact to screen me, check up on references, etc.
