Plus, thanks to all the DRM bullshit, MS are delivering a better experience to publishers than the PS4.

The could try just making it really easy to trick the DRM. That way they appease publishers and consumers’ll just be like “oh yeah there’s that DRM thing but it’s really easy to trick so it doesn’t matter”

These designs look nice (though, personally, I prefer the minimalism we’ve got currently. Of course there’s no doubt that’s not still possible to achieve with this redesign) but I’d say there’s way more WP that needs to go into W8, than vice versa.

Having start on it would just be crazy. There’s a start button already right next to your finger.
Also, phones are tiny. When you’re scrolling you’re going to accidentally swipe from the sides.

I agree that this solution has too many steps but I’m not huge on the idea of charms.

I guess there’s nothing to lose with making it optional. Maybe keep single colour as the default, though.

Lol
This is an ancient build. Someone came out about it and said its all gone through a multitude of iterations since then. Visual design is the last thing they do. This kind of stuff is first designed by programmers quickly for testing then, when its right, a designer makes it look beautiful.
Everyone complaining about the look of this just has no idea..

Trouble is, the live tiles take a lot of space. You’ll barely see your nice background :o

I can’t believe what you’re saying.
A predominantly technology news site is trying to enforce an agenda about the anti government protests in Turkey.
Jeez.
