Usually there’s some vague language in the customer agreement which could be interpreted as being a contract ending type of change (if you notify them within 60 days, etc) however what AT&T will do is offer you the cost per month X the # of months left in your contract to offset the change. I went through this with Verizon once, they argued initially without even offering to credit the difference. I ported my number, argued for ages… eventually went to collections. I sent dispute letters which rather than validating my debt they would just be shuffle it off to another agency. I’m still confident I could have obtained a win in small claims court however it just wasn’t worth my time to go downtown on a work day. I ended up settling the ETF balance with the collection company for about 50% of original debt. I made up the difference easily by being on Virgin $40 p/month for a year.

It was pulled for bugs. This is the first official push of 7.8 my AT&T Lumia 900 has seen.

Sorry sir you’re incorrect. My AT&T Lumia 900 never got the the update and neither did loads of other users as you can easily see on the wpcentral forums. It was pulled for bugs pretty early on.

or was it a case of better to have something than nothing as all?
That’s how I’ve always interpreted it as a WP7 user.

Dedicated devices still have a place in the market. I like products from companies that have focus in a single area. I own a Nokia phone because they make phones, it’s what they focus on as a company. No resources or revenue streams are being diverted to fridges or circular saws. I don’t generally regret my Google TV, it’s not a bad product. It does what I wanted it to do but I can tell 2 years later it’s not a focus area. If I needed to buy a streaming device today it would be from a smaller more single focused company like Roku.
I’m sure loads of each will sell. Surely both can have a place in the consumer mind share?

Never mind. The app just didn’t pop anything up the first few times I tried it (it however kept saying “syncing”). I relaunched, hit sync and a login dialogue appeared. I was just assuming incorrectly!

I went home to try this, signed up for a Fitbit account and then found out this app is designed to sync to a Fitbit device, not straight to a Fitbit account. I’m guessing no API for that, wouldn’t be in the interest of a company trying to sell the devices. I was wanting to push the data over to MyFitnessPal only ;/
