Off the topic at hand, but I remember hearing that intro song a long time ago on the Verge/This is My Next.
Anyone know what song that is?

It actually tells a lot how big of an impact South Korea alone is making in Android’s ecosystem when the country is so small.
(In case you needed to know, SK has a population of 48.2 million while Japan and US are 127M and 309M respectively. I believe South Korea is the only country with 90+% Android marketshare too)

As soon as the news of the stream hit, and finding out the stream is not supported on my iPod touch, I dug right into discovering the url of the stream.
I was kinda surprised that it indeed is a pure mp4 audio(m4a) file that’s been linked to stream, but thought it made it all the more easier.
Since I had to leave my computer behind, I set the download to my Dropbox and tried to stream it from my Nexus 4, but was surprised to find that it wasn’t playing in any of the music players I had installed.
It seems to playback properly on my Mac’s iTunes and Quicktime Player, so I’m guessing it’s encumbered in some basic iTunes FairPlay DRM without owner validation (Authorize Device mechanic) that prevents it from playing off any other platform.
As for how I got around the restriction, I installed a virtual CD-RW program, made a playlist of the ripped file, burned to CD and ripped audio back from the virtual CD image. Presto! AAC audio without any DRM at all.
(Disclaimer, I’ve pre-ordered the CD from BestBuy so the stream rip is only there to tide me over till I get the CD :)

As a launch day Nook HD+ buyer who only really wanted the 1080p screen and Micro SD support, I can say that I am insanely happy to hear this news.
I knew full well of its limitations when I got it, but rooting/custom ROMs all has its own problems so often seen in Android mods (battery drain, black screen of death, app incompatibilities, etc)
I’ve been using a rooted version of the stock OS with Google Apps installed (including Play Store) but having an official support, and presumably wider compatibilities with apps (without resorting to multiple hacks) will be very much welcomed.
