what really happened? the version of android we saw on the G1 clearly has at least as much to do with the iphone as it does the prototype android. I’m a webos user, I have no dog in this fight.

what is this “or” in response to? I don’t think I held out any competing theory. I have nothing against phones with four-inch screens. I’m convinced that commenters in tech sites just scan for keywords signifying a member of the Opposing Team and then just copy and paste Good-Guys talking points from a big txt file.

Can a trend be overwhelming when the best-selling phone on earth has continued, all this time, to fly in the face of it?

I’m a Pre 3 owner holding out for the new iPhone, and 4" sounds about right for me, but the embiggening of phone displays is one of those trends that’s mostly apparent because of how many interchangeable Android phones get reviewed on tech websites.

As a Palm Pre fan, I think a dual-slider like this with gamepad in horizontal orientation and QWERTY in vertical would be pretty cool.

Man, I wish we knew what it was between this and the G1 that influenced them to go in another direction.
