Obvious answer: ADHD is heavily associated with impulsivity. Other studies show correlations between criminal behavior and substance use and ADHD. Obesity makes complete sense in that context.
Wait, so you’re telling me that 92 out of 214 people had children with Bipolar disorder? If that’s the case, then I’d say it’s more a case of Bay Area over diagnosis.
In addition, I don’t know if a correlatiion between having a flu and bipolar disorder at all suggests causation. There are a number of other reasons that relationship could exist. People who are more stressed are likely to get sick, illness occurs more likely in certain times of the year (I remember reading that winter conceived babies are more likely to have psych disorders as well). A correlation between hot weather and drownings does not mean heat causes people to drown. More likely heat means more people swim.
I think a LOT of further research needs to be done to both confirm these results and rule out mediating variables. But with sites like the Verge posting one study as news, this runs the danger of becoming “common knowledge”.
I believe this is the primary reason. Google Glass uploads every photo and video to a private Google+ area. If it is doing this right now, that would be a humongous battery hit and would corroborate why people have been saying taking pictures and doing video creates a huge drain.
