Dieter Bohn is a Senior Editor for The Verge. Basically, he's really obsessed with smartphones and has been since the VisorPhone. He has founded, fostered, and led technology communities for more than ten years.
Dieter has a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas and was a Ph.D candidate in English at the University of Minnesota, where he helped students and faculty use web technologies to expand academic discourse. He's very fond of books made of paper, but tries not to make a religion out of it.
Personal Ethics Statement: Dieter's better half works at Mozilla. Thus, he does not cover Mozilla for The Verge.

Yep! I’m a cord cutter, so HTC’s Peel-based software is nigh-useless for me. But if somebody would just release something like Harmony with support for this IR blaster, I’d love it.

So, depends on the phone. on iPhone I keep it really limited, because its notification toast gets on my nerves — sms, game center, groupme, yammer, twitter. On Android, I pretty much push everything. Like, yeah, pretty much everything.
