My Core 2 Duo MBP with a bad battery is looking really long in the tooth… not sure whether to replace the battery and run it into the ground, or just buy a new Air. Truth is, all I use is Chrome and Word, so the Core 2 Duo with some extra RAM is plenty fast for what I do.

The National Weather Service is very good at predicting the weather in the short-term, and researchers are getting much better at it in the long-term. Not sure there’s much more to say than that.

Thomas Friedman is a glib hack, but he once had a very instructive turn of phrase—global warming isn’t simply global warming, it’s global weirding. Our weather is going to get weird, random, and unpredictable.

Yep. In 2007. Which means that 4 of the 6 years it has existed has been under the Obama administration.

This whole this is just appalling. I’m ashamed I worked for President Obama’s reelection campaign.
