I totally agree with the above, the sooner an active stylus becomes the de facto standard, the better.
Remember that stylus means different things to different people – a great active stylus is an incredible benefit. A crappy capacitative stylus (or even worse, resistive styli like the old windows mobiles had) is simply no comparison – and it was these simplistic and primitive styli that Steve Jobs quite rightly (and famously) rebelled against.
After having and using a Surface Pro with it’s awesome Wacom pen, I’d find it incredibly difficult to buy or recommend another device that didn’t. I’d even consider a Windows RT device if it had (good) pen support – maybe one day they’ll get there.
