I think you’re completely fabricating the rise up against government tyranny bit. Occam’s Razor suggests a militia is for defending the country from external threats.
First thing I did was CTRL-F Android. Good to know that it’s a stretch goal, but I may not back until it gets close. I think it’s got a good chance, though. Best of luck.
I’m an avid Foursquare user, but there is a huge space between the value I get out of it and the value that Foursquare, Square, and others try to extract out of my data. Whenever that’s the case, I worry about the future of the service. It may keep drifting away from what I use it for. Square is even more wrong about what I want out of location-based apps.
It’s local businesses and non-commercial entities I usually search or check in at. If they want to commodify the stuff I like and what I buy, I’m not sure there’s actually any money in that.
I didn’t realize Vine wasn’t available on Android until I was at a moment when I thought it would be useful and searched the Play store for it. Less than a minute later I found Cinemagram as an alternative and had it installed. I’m content with it and doubt I’d switch to Vine when it’s available.
Big name apps really ought to launch on Android at the same time as iOS. One day, one of these competitors will get their marketing right and get too established in Android by the time the leading app is ported over.
