Eh, each platform’s exclusives will look “better” than the other platform’s, and multi-plat games will still have a primary development platform, and will look crappy on the other console. I don’t think we’ll see a significant gap.

Microsoft and Sony expressly prohibit this when they certify a game, though. Only stats can be cross-platform, and even then, it’s only if the publisher hosts the servers.

Because these devices monopolize a gamer’s time, which is the most important asset to capture.
If Apple TV can stream an OnLive game with a dedicated Bluetooth controller, why would you buy an Xbox?
If your iPad can mirror a CoD clone to your Apple TV with multiplayer matchmaking and achievements, why would you turn on your Xbox?
If nVidia SHIELD can stream your PC games to your TV via WiFi Direct, why would you buy an Xbox?

I dunno about that. I think the number of core games are pretty evenly matched.

The fact that Xbox does promise to render in 4K,
Is there a source for this? All indications point towards Xbox One not supporting 4K.
