The Verge is definitely biased against Microsoft and its fans. Remember when this group was called “Microserfs” instead of “Microsoft Tribe”? I’m still standing my ground because I know the bias is an original sin coming from all the former Engadget employees. They just can’t help it but to keep Apple the Gold standard and look down at everything else.

I still have the fewest issues with Windows Xp.
Why can’t they simply do a Windows 7 without the aero and without taking 1 GB RAM when idling?
And why can’t 64bit Home Premium not have more than 16 GB?
Not to mention, why do you have to buy Professional to get multiple language support when even the most basic Xp Home supported all kinds of languages?

Uh uh, I disagree with many of you. I think Windows Xp is still the best. The folders and Windows Explorer is not cluster f***ed, no Aero slowing you down, no sound lag, it is 98/2000 backwards compatible, all security holes have been closed, it doesn’t run a 2nd crappy Antivirus/Firewall from Microsoft and the best part: I feel in control of everything. I have a feeling newer OSs continue to strip powers of the user to make it “simplier” and “more usable”. Do they think we are tards?

I have a feeling this will make a Vista unless Windows 8 feels really good and easy it use.

The overwhelming majority of WP 7 phones has been upgraded. Now look at Android. ICS isn’t even on 4% of all Android devices.

At 7.5 GB for $50 they offer a good 2.5GB or 50% more than Verizon’s LTE alternative. On top of that you don’t have to sign up for an additional mobile hotspot plan, not to mention that stupid mandatory $40 voice plan. So, all in all if I had no other choice and I would live rural, I would go DirecTV.

I just hope there is a clause in our law that states that people who renounce their citizenship can never gain it back.

Are you insane? I’m not a US citizen but I benefit from the roads, the subsidized, university system, the clean water and air, protection from the police and the military. Does that mean I don’t have to pay taxes just because I’m not a citizen?

Isn’t Facebook making profit from people living in the United States? So why not tax him the same way every other US resident and business gets taxed? The rich are not exempt from our tax code, fool.

4.7" became the new standard because manufacturers failed to squeeze 1280 × 720 into a 4.3" screen. I prefer 4.0" screens because the on-screen keyboard is not too small and you can still use it with one hand.

4.5 and above is way too big. 4.0 was actually the perfect size. 4.3 might be out of many people’s comfort zone.

I doubt it. It will be the same panel with more pixels. Otherwise the price would skyrocket.

Installing games is the biggest, most meaningless waste of space and time (space time?) EVER! Hundreds of comparisons have shown that there is almost no loading time difference compared to Xbox versions that don’t require to install the game. Textures aren’t that much sharper either. It’s just a big epic fail and I pray Sony will go back to playing the whole game off the disc.

LOLOLOLOL Man, but really. That would be great. If that was the case I would also show Microsoft my home-made rig and demand my free Xbox. :P I still hope you’re right tho.

I wish they would get hired by mainstream game developers because game sizes have come out of hand. When you think about the size of games back in the day and today, not too much has changed. Yet a modern game takes up 8-25 GB of space (WTF) while last gen games only took up 700 MB-2 GB. You might wanna say it’s the textures, but I can tell you there are many ways to compress data without losing quality. My question is, why aren’t developers utilizing those?

The worst thing is the lack of a microSD slot. Really?? You have a 720p display but only 16 GB of which you can only use 9 GB? I tell you, not even one HD movie will fit on that. This thing is not ready for the future until HTC starts growing a to offer 32 and 64 GB versions.

Dude, you get a game for $1. People shouldn’t even complain about this. If there is anybody you have to complain to, it’s Microsoft. They had the chance to add a Blu Ray player to the Xbox Slim. But no…
