I bet most people watched The Social Network and didn’t know much or anything about the real Zuckerberg and/or his life. That helped maintain the required suspension of disbelief, no movie will be “good” if it can’t first achieve this.
I hardly need to argue about how difficult pulling that off is with a movie about Jobs. A much bigger fraction of the audience “knows” (about) him, or at least think they do.
This Sorkin guy, the director, casting director, actors, etc, have their job cut out for them.
I REALLY wish they can pull it off.

You’re missing the point. The point is the extremely enjoyable experience offered by the platform, not just the means of delivery of it. Let me put it in perspective:
‘What is the big deal with eReaders? They show text on a screen? That’s so 30 years ago!’
That’s your argument in a nutshell.
You are not appreciating the fact that this exemplifies how several factors can come together to provide a genuinely different and enjoyable way of reading texts: a very well designed interactive text, the stunning visuals of a retina display and the tactile interaction provided by an iPad (or any other tablet this plays on… It happens to be on an iPad at this moment, and it happens to be the iPad that made these type of new experiences possible)
Your allergic reaction to an iPad/Apple related article is stopping you from appreciating the point of the article.
