This is probably why Samsung went with the physical menu button. GS3s won’t have this problem. That menu bar would probably drive me crazy if I had the One X.

Despite all the complaints, I predict it’ll sale like hotcakes. I think the majority of consumers care more about the services and other little additions that Samsung announced.
Also, one impression that I got was the lack of focus on Android…and more about Samsung’s ecosystem. I’d say get used to it.
The only thing I am disappointed in is the pentile display. I incorrectly assumed they would’ve adopted a traditional RGB pixel configuration.

Yea its going to be tough for NVIDIA until they are able integrate radios (LTE) into their SoCs like what Qualcomm is doing. I personally wouldn’t touch a Tegra 3 smartphone until that happens.

I completely agree with the beautiful comment. Not so much with the intuitive part…mostly dealing with the perception of WP7 task switching. The Android back key can be a bit inconsistent too though so that’s a wash.

Your missing the point of Android. Which is fine, as there are other mobile OSes that serve your needs. Android doesn’t exist to live on one “platform”.
“Android is an open-source software stack for mobile devices, and a corresponding open-source project led by Google. We created Android in response to our own experiences launching mobile apps. We wanted to make sure that there was no central point of failure, so that no industry player can restrict or control the innovations of any other. That’s why we created Android, and made its source code open.”
The sooner people realize this, the sooner people can stop bitching.
There is a huge difference between Android and the other mobile OSes. Google releases the source code and, at times, a delivery vehicle for that release. Past the source code release, it is entirely in each vendors hands to update and validate their devices. Some vendors have an easier time than others depending the chosen SoC vendor, contributions to AOSP, etc. How long that takes is a result of their individual development process and/or carrier/regulatory approvals needed….not Google’s.
Apple and Microsoft work in lockstep on the hardware and software front to release software deliverable to devices. They don’t announce new software (normally) until it is ready to go on consumer devices within 1-2 months….but they have this luxury because of their closed, tightly coupled to their hardware development process.

Embedded hardware/software is quite different from desktop hardware/software. Why people keep making this comparison is beyond me.
