Several publishers are on record saying they were unaware of all the DRM shit MS was throwing into the Xbox One, so I don’t think it is as clear cut as you think it is.

I also bet it wouldn’t be amazingly difficult to create a lending system that revokes your ability to play until the person you lends it to gives it back to you, with a force take back after 30 days of being lent.

Your “having a good Internet connection” argument is moot. If you’re buying a machine that does 90% of its activities on the Internet, it is assumed you have a good Internet connection. You don’t? Don’t buy one.

Can’t really do it through AirPlay and that is only available on Intel boards with hardware encoding available.

Enough Artifacts and colorbanding from the compression it isn’t annoying and there is enough latency that you’ll be behind.
