since OS X uses bash, I’ll just share my favorite unix programs…

nmap – port scanner
cloc – counts lines of code
awk/sed/grep – must haves
ps ax – display running processes
pgrep – grep processes

and it goes on.
Terminal commands aren’t “commands” so much as they are full programs that you just access using the terminal, just as you access Firefox through a GUI

If you see how long/hard it’s been to get any Android apps half-usable on tablet (speaking from experience), it’d be an utter nightmare for Android to become a desktop OS.

I have a year of Spotify Premium, and two years of music sitting in my playlists. While I may like to, I’m not going anywhere – and the Spotify iOS apps are quite excellent IMO.

The ending was contrived on multiple levels – that all of humanities problems(wars, crimes, ect..) were all solved “off screen” by two preteens(Enders brother and sister), by tricking everyone nonetheless.

Also the whole thing with the bug queen and her misunderstanding, thinking that humans were only drones so it was OK to kill them, even if she thought they were only drones and just property, it doesn’t make it OK to preemptively destroy another nations property, and then after being defeated, all of a sudden going all hippy, love and peace with the galaxy.

I thought the ending lacked any substance and was a cheap cop out to end the story.
