There’s just not much you can do with that low end a CPU (on the Split x2). Sure, you’ll get a ton of battery life, but it’s all going to be for web surfing.
And web surfing on a 13.3" 1366 × 768 display can’t be too pleasant an experience.

Didn’t see anything about the latest My Bloody Valentine album on here, even though we’ve been waiting for it for 22 years; and even though My Bloody Valentine had an influence on alternative rock comparable to what Daft Punk’s done for house music.

David, why do you consider a product good only when it somewhat emulates an Apple strategy?
(I’m not saying that Apple’s offering’s the best or the worst; I’m asking why even when the product has nothing to do with Apple, you can’t help but judge it by Apple’s standards).
I see that a lot in your reviews, and frankly, it’s starting to bother me.

I, for one, am excited about 8.1. The interface changes that Windows 8 brought about, including Modern UI, make the whole “UX” feel fresh to me. I’m actually pretty psyched to see what they’re going to come up with next (50/50 snap view FTW).

Also, if you’ve actually used Windows 8 (as opposed to having only read about it on said comment sections), you realize that touch screen or not, you just have to install StartIsBack/Start8, select “Boot to desktop”, and it’s the exact same OS as Windows 7 except much faster in many respects.

David, I usually agree with most of your points, but I think you still consider the iPhone 5 the standard; which, as far as I’m concerned, is not fair.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s undeniable that the iPhone has much better build quality than the latest Samsung flagships; but aren’t you going with what’s sufficient for most people? Because that’s what you’re implying when you count the plethora of features as a negative. You’re saying most people won’t use them. That’s what you mean when you give both the iP5 and the GS4 an 8 for battery life, even though the latter, of your own acknowledgment, is better in this regard: as far as they get through the day, most people will be fine (and I hate being the guy that goes back and compares the scores, but how is the reception/call quality on the iP5 worth a full point more than the GS4’s? It just seems a little arbitrary).
But when it comes to the ecosystem, you generally generally rate Android one or two points below iOS. Why? I get it when it’s BB or WP, but wouldn’t you agree that most people will be equally happy with either Android’s or iOS’ app selection, as they both are REALLY big?
So I do appreciate your insights (especially since I haven’t gotten my hands on a GS4 yet), but I think judging an Android phone by Apple’s standards isn’t fair. Or, maybe I’m missing something. So if you feel like it, please do answer my questions, they’re actually genuine :)
